Meet the Counselors - Taylor Heitzhaus

Mrs. Taylor Heitzhaus

Mrs. Heitzhaus joined the Churchill Junior High School team this year after working as a School Counselor at Hammrskjold Upper Elementary School since 2018. Prior to joining the East Brunswick Counseling Department, she worked as an ABA in-home therapist and an Instructional Assistant while attending New Jersey City University to earn her Master's degree in School Counseling. She currently holds a license as both an Associate Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor as well. Mrs. Heitzhaus strives to collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure students at CJHS receive the necessary tools to be successful members of society. As a counselor, she promotes social and emotional learning while providing positive support through individual and group sessions. Mrs. Heitzhaus has established a safe, welcoming and encouraging setting for students to experience academic or personal counseling to cultivate self-esteem. She is also a proud mom to baby Avery and puppy Sadie. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, listening to country music and attending NY Jets football games.
