Meet the Counselors - Taylor Heitzhaus

Mrs. Taylor Heitzhaus

Mrs. Heitzhaus joined the Churchill Junior High School team this year after working as a School Counselor at Hammrskjold Upper Elementary School since 2018. Prior to joining the East Brunswick Counseling Department, she worked as an ABA in-home therapist and an Instructional Assistant while attending New Jersey City University to earn her Master's degree in School Counseling. She currently holds a license as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Mrs. Heitzhaus strives to collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure students at CJHS receive the necessary tools to be successful members of society. As a counselor, she promotes social and emotional learning while providing positive support through individual and group sessions. Mrs. Heitzhaus has established a safe, welcoming and encouraging setting for students to experience academic or personal counseling to cultivate self-esteem. She is also a proud mom to baby Avery and puppy Sadie. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, listening to country music and attending NY Jets football games.
