Meet the Counselors- Kelly Drake

Ms. Kelly Drake

Ms. Drake began her career in education in 2018 as a substitute teacher, where she gained experience working with students across a variety of grade levels. She later worked as a paraeducator, providing additional support to students and gaining a deeper understanding of their individual academic, social, and emotional needs. These experiences helped her discover her passion for supporting students and inspired her to pursue a career in school counseling. Ms. Drake earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in School Counseling from Georgian Court University. She is also a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) and Student Assistance Coordinator (SAC). She believes that every student deserves to have a trusted adult who listens, supports, and encourages them. Ms. Drake strives to create a safe and welcoming environment where students feel comfortable being themselves, seeking support, building confidence, and developing the skills needed to navigate challenges and achieve their goals. Beyond the school day, Ms. Drake enjoys spending time outdoors, making memories with family and friends, and spending time with her dogs, Asher and Lily, and her cats, Maeve and Oscar.
