Welcome to the Churchill Junior High School Counseling Department

The mission of the East Brunswick Public Schools Counseling Department is to support every student as they navigate the complexities of academics, social relationships, and personal challenges. We are dedicated to instilling resilience, equipping students with the confidence and adaptability needed to face today’s modern challenges. By guiding students to build deep self-awareness around their unique strengths, aptitudes, and interests, we help them intentionally map out future career paths. Above all, our goal is to nurture the whole child—fostering empathy, integrity, and character to ensure our students grow into good, compassionate people in addition to successful students.

About Us

The Counseling Department at Churchill Jr. High School is designed to support and promote the academic and social/emotional development of all students. Our dedicated and compassionate counselors strive to help students achieve optimal personal growth, acquire positive social skills and realize their full academic potential.

Individual counseling and support groups are provided throughout the year in addition to classroom push-in lessons related to social-emotional learning and career exploration.

Appointments are available for all students, and are scheduled in the students’ Outlook calendars. Students should ensure the Outlook app is downloaded, and notifications are turned on. Students are expected to show their teachers their Outlook invite to notify them that they have a Counseling appointment to avoid being called out of class. If immediate assistance is needed, the counselors can be found in Suite 1105 during school hours.
